We took Siena to see Lion King (the 2D version) on a rainy Friday night.  Little did we know that when we pulled into our driveway, we'd run into a huge branch that had fallen during the storm.  Luckily no one was near and it was at the bottom of our driveway, no where close to the house.  The trees around here are ruthless!

Success...we now have fish that have survived over a week in our salt-water tank.  No more explaining, 'oh, that fish got sick, honey'!!

This is a dress my mother-in-law wore as a baby.  Her grandmother actually tatted the lace.  I'm happy we can display it in our home as such a unique keepsake, along with a note describing it's history.

This little girl is loving her gymnastics class...so we treated her to a dinner out tonight after working hard at the gym!!

Our dogs found the salmon-based food we recently bought them completely revolting...practically starving themselves before eating their breakfast/dinner.  We switched them back to a chicken-based food.  However, I come home from a playdate this afternoon and what do I find...the petrified, fish food flakes have been devoured.  Explain to me that?!

Day 246 and 247

Yesterday (Saturday) was our six year anniversary!  We wanted to go out and celebrate as a family, but instead, our little girl climbed into bed with us at 6:15 in the morning with a 102 fever.  We're thinking she caught some stomach bug her first week back at school, poor girl.  Suffice it to say, I was holding a steaming hot little girl most of the day instead of a camera...which was a good trade, in my opinion.  No picture for Day 246, but you get two to make up for it on Day 247.

Here we are at a local Hibachi restaurant...Siena's first time.  She was a little unsure of the fire on the table in front of her, but managed to have a decent time.  I'm so happy that our family has grown to include the three of us (and soon to be four) in these past six years.  I couldn't imagine my life without them and am grateful to my husband for making our time together so wonderful and memorable, even if we're just cozied up on the couch watching a movie.  I love you, babe!!

 She wanted to wear a ring like Mommy tonight, so I let her borrow this one of my grandma's.  I'm sure one day, she'll wear it as her own and I know my Grandma would love that!

This massive tree came uprooted during the storm over the weekend.  It didn't look quite that large from far away, but having a little 39" tall girl stand next to it, really puts it in perspective!!
